Angular Displacement Calculator

Angular displacement is the angle at which an object moves on a circular path. It is denoted by theta (θ) and measured in radians or angle. We can find angular displacement with the help of this below formula:

Angular Displacement Formula

Here is a solved example on angular displacement:

Question: A boy runs around a circular track for about 400 meters. The radius of the track is 35 meters. Find the angular displacement.

Solution:
Given:
Distance Travelled (s) = 400 meters
Radius of circular track = 35 meters

Formula to find angular displacement = Angular Displacement = Distance Travelled / Radius of Circular Path

Inserting the given data into the formula = 400 / 35

= 11.42 radians

Therefore, the angular displacement for the given values = 11.42 radians

Distance Travelled (s): [meters]
Radius of Circular Path (r): [meters]
Angular Displacement (θ): [radians]
