Calculating Error: To calculate the error value, we need to subtract the exact value from the approximate value and then exclude any '-' minus sign in the output.

Example: The exact value is 350 and the approximate value is 425. 

Solution: First we need to subtract 350 by 425 = 350-425 = -75

Now, we need to exclude any - signs from the above output = 75

Hence, the error is 75

Calculating Percent Error: To calculate percentage error we can use the following formula:

Example: Let us use the same values that we used in finding the error value. 

Solution: Let us input the values onto the percent error formula.

Percent Error = (350 - 425 / 350) x 100

Make sure to exclude any minus signs while subtracting exact value from approx value.

= 75/350 x 100

= 21.42%

Hence, the percent error for the given value is 21.42%
