# Sale Price Calculator

Sale price can be explained as the price of goods or a service which is offered at some discount price. You could have noticed it on shopping malls, grocery stores where the board displays "Buy @ 30% off" which basically explains that the typical product has been sold with discount by some percentage of original rate.

Formula to calculate sale price is given by:

Let's say a bicycle sells for \$120 has been sold at 20% off. Find the sale price of the bicycle.

Solution:

Discount = 20%/100 (converting percent to decimal)

= 0.20 x \$120

Discount Price = \$24

Sale price = original price - discount Price

= 120 - 24

= \$96

Therefore, the sale price for the given bicycle is \$96
